Kids can now learn Chinese on the Lingumi app

As a multicourse platform, we are excited to announce that Lingumi has launched a new pack of 30 engaging conversational Chinese lessons for English-speaking children aged 4 to 7 years old! The new lessons are designed and taught by Harvard graduate Teacher Yan who is specialized in child language education.

The pack covers 6 fun themed topics, from ‘A Trip to the Zoo’ to ‘A Trip to the Beach’, focusing on improving your child’s conversational Chinese speaking and understanding in daily life scenarios.

The lessons include more than 10 different types of educational games, engaging your child through tapping, dragging, and speaking to learn new words, build phrases, and answer questions.

Linguistically, this pack of 30 lessons teaches 72 YCT (Youth Chinese Test) Level 1 and 2 vocabulary items, and 24 key language goals. After completing the 30 lessons, your child would be able to confidently ask and answer basic daily questions, express preferences and feelings, and describe someone’s action and location in Chinese! Each lesson immerses your child in daily scenarios, enabling them to apply the words in daily life.

The pack is perfect for English-speaking children aged 4 to 7 years old who are ready to begin speaking Chinese for the first time.

Who is the teacher?

Teacher Yan:

Graduating from Harvard Graduate School of education, Teacher Yan holds an Ed.M. in language and literacy and is particularly specialized in children language education.

Teacher Yan has been an experienced and professional language teacher for more than 5 years. She will help your child build confidence in Chinese speaking and encourage them to interact and engage with speaking about different topics.
